When Life Shakes, Let Faith Stand
Life will always bring moments of uncertainty — the kind that shake our plans, test our confidence, and make us question what comes next. Maybe you’re at a crossroads, facing loss, wrestling with doubt, or simply worn thin from the weight of it all. In those moments, it can feel like God is distant, silent… even absent.
But He’s not.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified… for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
— Deuteronomy 31:6
One of the greatest truths you can anchor your heart to is this: God is always with you. Not just when the sun shines, but in the storm. Not only when your faith is strong, but when your knees are weak. He is near, steady, faithful — even when everything else feels uncertain.
Unshakable faith isn’t about pretending you have no fear or doubt. It’s about choosing to hold tightly to God’s hand in the middle of those fears and doubts, knowing He will carry you through.
✨ Daily Steps to Strengthen Unwavering Faith
1. Start Your Day in His Presence
Before the noise of the world fills your mind, start your morning with stillness and Scripture. Thank you for giving me a reason to start each day with all of you, I get such strength from our connection and readings.
“In the morning, Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly.”
— Psalm 5:3
A simple prayer, a verse of truth, a moment of silence — these small choices create space for God to calm your spirit and guide your day. Join us at 7:30 a.m. EST on weekdays for Readings From The Road. It is the BEST way to start your day.
2. Speak Truth Over Fear
Fear thrives in silence and secrecy. Counter it by speaking God’s promises out loud.
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.”
— Psalm 56:3
When anxiety rises, speak Scripture. Write verses on sticky notes. Memorize them. Let truth drown out the lies. “I trust you Jesus” is a favorite of mine.
3. Trust God More Than Your Feelings
Feelings are real, but they are not always reliable. Faith chooses to believe God’s Word, even when emotions scream otherwise.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
— Proverbs 3:5
When doubts come, remind yourself: “God is good. He is for me. He has a plan.” I also have fellow believers I can lean on when in doubt and they always remind me of the truth.
4. Surround Yourself with Faith-Builders
You weren’t meant to walk alone. Connect with people who speak life, share your faith, and pray with you.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Isolation can magnify fear. Community keeps you grounded and encouraged. I love our porch/road family! Incredible souls I get so much strength and encouragement from.
5. Look Back and Remember
Make it a habit to reflect on what God has already done in your life. Keeping a journal of answered prayers or past victories strengthens trust.
“I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember Your miracles of long ago.”
— Psalm 77:11
If He’s been faithful before, He’ll be faithful again.
🌈 Final Thought: Faith That Holds in the Storm
There will be days when you feel like you’re barely holding on — and that’s okay. Because God is holding on to you. His grip never loosens. His presence never fades. And His love never runs out.
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
— Psalm 23:4
So, dear one — hold on to your faith. Not because life is easy, but because God is faithful. The same God who walked with Daniel in the lion’s den, who parted seas for Moses, who calmed storms with His voice — that same God is walking with you.
And that changes everything.
